Methoni is a seaside village on the north coast of Pieria. It has approx 1000 villagers and a beautiful sandy beach. The locals have small tourist businesses, fishing, olive oil, cotton production etc. Up to 1955 the village was called Neo Elefthochori. Methoni is approx 26km from Katerini.
Macedonia - Agion Oros

The Agion Oros is an "Independent Community of Monasteries" within Greece, located on the Athos peninsula of Chalkidiki and is considered the centre of the Orthodox monarchism.
